Stas Gayshan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Space with a Soul was founded by Stas Gayshan, a Boston-area attorney and entrepreneur. Stas Gayshan’s background is at the intersection of technology, activism, and business. In his career, he has worked at large companies and small startups, campaigns, government agencies, and political parties. A graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School, his specialty is efficiency improvement. Stas’s approach to building a collaborative space is heavily influenced by a lifetime of work in the political arena, where he made his mark with innovative uses of technology, including the development of creative solutions to resolve difficult problems.

Stas believes that a similar approach to developing the space that nonprofits and startups work in can greatly enhance the effectiveness of each organization in a given space. To that end, Stas has developed the concept of Space with a Soul to take advantage of the operational efficiencies found when more people are using the same services and systems, and give small organizations better access to resources that greatly enhance their effectiveness in achieving their mission. Prior to starting Space with a Soul, Stas was the Director of Technology for a U.S. Senate campaign.

In 2012, the Boston Globe recognized Stas Gayshan for his work with Space with a Soul by naming him one of the 12 Most Innovative People in Massachusetts.

Stas is an active member of his community in Wayland, where he serves on the board of the Recreation department. He also holds leadership positions in several philanthropic and nonprofit organizations active in the Greater Boston area. Outside of work, Stas likes to cook for friends and family.
